Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Gigeazy. By creating an account or booking through the platform, you agree to them.
Last updated: 22 August 2026
We Are the Marketplace
Gigeazy connects planners, musicians and venue hosts. The performance contract itself is between those users, not with us.
Payments Run Through Us
Booking fees are paid on the platform, held until the event is delivered, and released to the artist or host less our service fee.
Fair Dispute Handling
If something goes wrong, our support team reviews the booking record and messages before deciding on refunds or payouts.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing Gigeazy, creating an account, listing a profile or venue, or sending or accepting a booking request, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. If you are using Gigeazy on behalf of a company, band or agency, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts.
- You must give accurate registration information and keep your profile, rates and availability up to date.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your password confidential. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
- One person or entity may hold one account per role. We may suspend duplicate or impersonating accounts.
3. What Gigeazy is
Gigeazy is a venue and it is not a party to the agreements formed between users. We provide discovery, messaging, contracting tools, scheduling and payment handling. We do not employ musicians, we do not own or manage listed venues, and we do not guarantee the quality, safety, punctuality or legality of any performance or space. Verification badges reflect the checks we were able to carry out and are not a warranty.
4. Bookings
- A planner sends a booking request setting out the date, location, duration and offered fee. The musician or host may accept, decline or send a counter offer.
- A binding agreement between the two users is formed when a request or counter offer is accepted and payment is authorised.
- Both parties must perform what was agreed: the artist or host delivers the service as described, and the planner provides safe access, the agreed facilities, and any technical requirements confirmed in the booking.
- Changes to date, time, location or scope must be agreed through the platform so that the booking record stays accurate.
5. Fees and payment
- Creating an account, publishing a profile and listing a venue are free. Gigeazy charges a service fee on completed bookings; the fee applicable to a booking is shown before you confirm it.
- Payments are processed by our licensed payment partner. Funds for a confirmed booking are held and released to the artist or host after the event, less the service fee and any applicable taxes.
- Prices are quoted in Nigerian Naira unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for your own taxes, including any withholding obligations that apply to you.
- Taking a booking off-platform to avoid fees, after it was introduced through Gigeazy, is a breach of these terms and may result in suspension.
6. Cancellations and refunds
Unless the parties agreed different terms in writing on the booking, the following applies:
- Planner cancels more than 14 days before the event: full refund of the fee, less non-refundable payment-processing costs.
- Planner cancels 7 to 14 days before: 50% of the fee is retained by the artist or host.
- Planner cancels less than 7 days before: the fee is non-refundable, in recognition of the date being held.
- Artist or host cancels, or does not appear: the planner receives a full refund, and repeat cancellations may lead to removal from the platform.
- Events outside anyone's control — such as government restrictions, extreme weather, or serious illness with evidence — are reviewed case by case with the aim of a full refund or a rescheduled date.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading or infringing content, including media or music you do not have the rights to share.
- Harass, threaten or discriminate against other users, or post unlawful, hateful or sexually explicit material.
- Solicit payment outside the platform for a booking arranged through Gigeazy.
- Write or trade fake reviews, create fake bookings, or otherwise manipulate ratings.
- Scrape, reverse engineer, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or to other users' accounts.
8. Content and licence
You keep ownership of the photos, audio, video and text you upload. By posting it, you grant Gigeazy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, resize and promote that content in connection with operating and marketing the platform. You confirm you have the rights needed to grant that licence, including from any other performers or rights holders featured. We may remove content that breaches these terms or a third party's rights.
9. Reviews and disputes
Reviews must be based on a genuine completed booking and reflect your honest experience. If a dispute arises, raise it with us within 14 days of the event. Our support team will review the booking record, the in-app messages and any evidence supplied, and may hold, refund or release funds accordingly. Our decision on the release of platform-held funds is final as between us and you, but it does not stop you pursuing your own legal remedies against the other party.
10. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time; obligations under confirmed bookings survive. We may suspend or terminate an account, with notice where practicable, if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably believe your activity harms other users or the platform. Sections on fees owed, content licence, liability and governing law survive termination.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The platform is provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Gigeazy is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss arising from the acts or omissions of another user. Where we are found liable, our total liability for any booking is limited to the service fee we received on that booking. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction over any dispute with us. We may update these terms; we will change the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you before they take effect. Continuing to use Gigeazy after that date means you accept the updated terms.
